Who We Are:
Liberation UCC is an authentic, inclusive, love-filled, vibrant, spirit-filled SOCIAL GOSPEL FAITH COMMUNITY, Liberation is a refuge and spiritual asylum for the frequently underestimated, marginalized and ostracized. We are a “soulish” place of healing and a catalyst for growth centering the sacred stories of the minoritized
Liberation is a christian community
We meet to sing, pray, and worship God. We see church as a place for fellowship, worship, celebration, and refuge. Our basic tenants include:
- Belief in one God, as expressed through God the Creator, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit
Belief in reconciliation and liberation through Jesus Christ
Belief in the Bible as a sacred text that must be used for social justice
Belief in the indwelling of the Holy Spirit

Radically Inclusive
At Liberation United Church of Christ, we embrace the teaching that each person is "fearfully and wonderfully made" (Psalm 139). Variations in sexual orientation, gender/gender identity, race, and ability are to be honored and celebrated as manifestations of God's creativity and will.
We seek to live out the call to liberation we see scripture. Whoever you are, and whatever marginalization you may have experienced in other faith communities, you can expect welcome, affirmation, and inclusion here.

CHARISMATIC
Liberation is a Charismatic congregation. We believe in the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, which manifests itself in our worship style. Congregants shout, sing, dance, raise hands, and otherwise move as the Spirit directs during worship.
Agents for Change
At Liberation UCC we feel a persistent call towards justice, liberation, and positive change. In keeping with this call, we actively support movements engaged in anti-racist work, queer and trans liberation, gender equality, as well as other liberation focused movements.
Small Groups
We believe in creating brave and vulnerable spaces for supporting each other through life’s journey. Our small groups are rooted in mutual love and respect, and an effort to go against the grain of social structures that tell us that we do not deserve support. Join one or both!
